The islands fit all sizes and ideas of a holiday: will you prefer lounging on the white-sand beaches of Porquerolles or take your family on long bike rides and finish the day off with a delicious ice-cream on the village square? Or, rather, will you opt for a wilder adventure, exploring the protected island of Port-Cros, its numerous hiking paths and surprising underwater fauna? Unless you prefer to make a stop on the third island of Le Levant, visiting its naturist village and the natural reserve of les Arbousiers (arbutus trees).
Note: The islands are easily accessible by boat from Le Lavandou or Cavalaire.

The Domaine du Rayol is a large botanical garden located beside the Mediterranean just to the southeast of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer. This beautiful area of trees, bushes and flowers is divided into different botanical regions of the world, including Le Jardin de la Méditerranée. It takes about one and a half hours to follow the marked, 2 km itinerary but you should plan on a half-day for a leisurely tour, exploration and photography.
Note: The gardens are situated at walking distance from the villa.

VISIT THE LEGENDARY SAINT-TROPEZ
Copy: informationfrance.com
St Tropez is a small fishing village with a big reputation. The little town itself is still a delight with its winding medieval streets of traditional pastel-painted fishermen’s cottages (if few fishermen), boutiques and restaurants; the port with fishing boats moored alongside mega-yachts. Here you can combine rustic Provence and chic Côte d’Azur with a visit to the market place on Place des Lices in the morning, and an evening spent in the cafés around the harbour, where you can sip aperitifs and yacht-watch.
Note: Saint-Tropez is a 40 minute drive from Le Cardelino.
